Some traditional rulers in Etche and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas of Rivers State have hailed the Oyigbo Area Commander, ACP Collins Rosemary, for her diligence and professionalism in fighting crime since she assumed office.
Speaking with journalists over the weekend, the Eze Agu-Na-Echemba I of Etche ethnic nationality, Eze Amadi Napoleon and the Onyi Ishi Ala of Chokota Town, HRH Eze Ismael Nweke, said it was noteworthy that the Oyigbo Area Commander made appreciable progress in the fight against crime especially success recorded in closure of borders and thanked her and officers under her Command for the feat.
“As traditional rulers, we can attest to the fact that she exhibited professionalism, dedication and did not take bribes in enforcing compliance as directed by government. Oyigbo Police Area Command under her watch has witnessed drastic improvement in fighting crime which has made us sleep with eyes closed.
“We must say that it has been extremely encouraging to witness a steady improvement in crime fighting courtesy Oyigbo Police Area Command under her watch. We have seen her on several occasions in the field arresting kidnappers as well as hoodlums which has resulted to the relative peace we are enjoying”, they said.
Also, Iriebe paramount ruler in Obio/Akpor local government area, HRH Eze Worenwu Jeremiah, applauded the efforts of Oyigbo Police Area Command headed by ACP Rosemary over enforcement of closure of border at Imo Gate and other parts within her Command as directed by Governor Nyesom Wike.
Eze Jeremiah specifically singled out Oil Mill Market as one of such places the Area Commander and her team had performed excellently in face of traders’ nonchalant attitude.
The Iriebe paramount ruler said it was interesting to see a woman could perform her official duties creditably.
“Since she was posted to Oyigbo Area Command which covers Iriebe, I can boldly say that the criminal elements are coerced to relocate. All my life, I have never seen a fearless and gallant officer like her not excluding the motivation she always gives to officers under her Command,” he noted.
