Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abia State, Johnson Onuigbo, popularly known as Akinboard is dead.
He died in the late hours of Monday after a brief illness.
It was gathered that his remains have been deposited at an undisclosed hospital mortuary in Umuahia, the state capital.
He was appointed Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party in May 2020.
Highly placed government and party sources told newsmen the cause of his death was suspected to be Coronavirus.
