The Management of Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, Rivers State on Friday 31st July, 2020 paid a condolence visit on the Oba (Eze-Ogba of Ogbaland) His Eminence, Sir (Dr) Chukumela Nnam Obi II (OON, DSRRS, FFCET(OM), AP, JP) over the recent death of his younger sister, Princess (Mrs) Agnes Ojobah (nee obuoha obi),Daughter, Princess (Mrs) Ureh Ogidi (nee obi) and sister in-law, Mrs Kazair Clinton Nwobie (nee Okereke).
Speaking during the visit, the provost of the College, Sir, Dr Emmanuel Ikenyiri described as unfortunate and painful to lose a dear sister, daughter and sister in-law within an interval specially, when their services were needed by their families, community and churches most but thanked God for the good lives they lived while on earth.
The provost told the Ogba Monarch that the College was also shocked, saddened and mourning mood on hearing about the death of the three ladies as according to records late Princess (Mrs) Ojobah, Late Princess (Mrs) Ureh Ogidi and Late Mrs Kazair Nwobie were respectively former staff, student and very good friend of the College.
Dr Ikenyiri prayed God to give the Eze-Ogba, the Royal Family and Bereaved families the courage to bear the losses and also pray God to grant the souls of the departed eternal rest.
According to a statement by the PRO of the College, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh, JP, the Provost used the opportunity to express appreciation to Almighty God for the quick recovery of Oba Chukumela Nnam Obi II who was sick sometimes ago.
Responding, the Ogba Monarch said that it was not easy for the Royal Family losing three of its members within a month and gave glory to Almighty God for he knows why it happened as he brings and takes.
He thanked the FCE(T), Omoku management for the visit and also used the opportunity to express his profound appreciation to all persons, Groups, Former and Present Government Officials, Traditional and Religious Leaders, Friends and Admirers across the country for their condolence visits, letters, prayers and phone calls since the unfortunate incidents as according to him, the show of concern, prayers and consolations has strengthened and sustained the Royal Family immensely.
