The Abua Odual LGA Council Chairman Hon. Daniel E. O. Daniel, has on Sunday 20th September 2020 donated the sum of Five Million Naira to the Anglican Communion, St Barnana’s Church Anyu, Odual Parish – Abua Odual LGA, Rivers State.
The money was in fulfilment of an earlier promise the Council Chairman made to provide money for the roofing and completion of the long abandoned church house project.
Represented by the Chief of Staff to Council, Hon Okpokipoiy Peters, the chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment towards supporting God’s work in the LGA.
He charged the church to put the money into judicious use so as to achieve the primary purpose by which the money was given.
“Use this money to roof and complete the church building, anything that is remaining can also be used to fix other things in the building.”
“We need to complete the church building so we will not be worshipping in Public Places,” he said.
Highlight of the brief event was a special prayer for the council chairman and his team.
