The Resident Pastor of Greater Evangelism World Crusade (GEWC), Rumuokani Church, Mgbuoba New Layout, Port Harcourt, Evangelist Benjamin Lekia Kpoasu, has charged Nigerians to use the occasion of the nation’s 60th Independence Anniversary to seek the face of God and turn from their evil ways, to chart the way forward for the country.
He said that although 60 years of self-rule is worth celebrating because of the ‘grace of God’, upon the citizenry, the country is still bedeviled by socio-political and economic quagmire which is stunting its advancement.
The evangelist who stated these during a three-day ‘Holy Ghost Meeting’ of the church which ended on Sunday, berated both past and present governments for misrule, a situation he said, is hampering the peace and unity of the country.
“Sadly, our leaders have brought shame and reproach. Their inept leadership has bred so much evil across the land. But all hopes are not lost, for If we can embrace God and render a hearty repentance from our sins, our calamities would roll away”, he admonished.
Brimming with joy, Evangelist Kpoasu said the church programme, which had as its theme:
“No More Shame, No More reproach”, was a huge success, adding that the event was characterized by supernatural miracles of healing and deliverance.
The well attended Holy Ghost Meeting was graced by people from all walks of life including the National Minister in charge of Ghana/Benin Republic, Evangelist Prince Nkiri who was guest speaker at the event.
