The General Overseer of Christ the Life Bible International Church, Prophet E. S. Okenna has been conferred with an award of “Prophet of the Year 2020” by the Timeless Global News Magazine.
The Award to Prophet Okenna according to the Publisher of the Magazine Kingsley King during their 9th anniversary celebration was in recognition of his service to God and humanity.
He noted that Prophet Okenna is one man who preach the true gospel of God with fear of favour and also passionate about putting smiles on the faces of the widows and the less privilege.
The clergy man in his response said he was humbled by the honour done to him but hugely encouraged to continue unruffled in the task of taking the work of God to greater heights and also to be a blessing to mankind.
His words: I dedicate this award to God Almighty, he gave me the strength to keep going even in the face of odds. I want to assure that I am dedicated to doing even much more to herald a new dawn in the vineyard of God. Honours like this serve as tonic to keep going strong.
Speaking to newsmen on the #ENDSARS# incident shortly after the programme, he expressed dismay over President Buhari’s failure to address the issue at stake, saying that the president’s broadcast fell short of the expectations of Nigerians.
He commended the #ENDSARS# protesters for their resilience and urged them to be wary of hoodlums for their genuine intention of the protest”. It is painful that what started as a peaceful protest has been hijacked and turned into complete anarchy.
He said the #ENDSARS incident is a reflection of nepotism, unemployment, corruption, bad governance and social vices and urged the federal government to offer an apology to Nigerians for the use of military during the protest.
