#EndSARS Police Losses Assessment Committee Visits Rivers

The Police #EndSARS Losses Committee led by the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCP) Atayero Patrick on Monday visited Rivers State to assess the level of loss suffered by the State Command by attacks by hoodlums during the #EndSARS protests.

Addressing newsmen, DCP Patrick disclosed that the committee was in town to assess the level of loss in terms of infrastructure, personnel and weapons.

DCP Patrick sympathized with the families of the deceased officers while on a tour at Afam, Umuebule, Oyigbo Divisional and Area Command Headquarters.

the vice chairman of the committee who described the destruction as unfortunate revealed that the report of the assessment will be forwarded to the Office of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, who will make the report of the assessment public through the Office of the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba.

Meanwhile an officer at Oyigbo Police Division, also destroyed by hoodlums disclosed that apart from guns, ammunition, electronics and cooking utensils in their apartments, the hoodlums also looted female pants and bras. The officer wondered what the hoodlums wanted to use female underwear for.

Our correspondent reports that Senior officers of Rivers State Police Command accompanied the committee on the visit.
