Alhaji Maisundu’s Death Shocks NBUN

The National Butchers Union of Nigeria has expressed shock over news of the sudden death of a former Chairman, elder and patron of the Rivers State chapter, (Trans Amadi/Oginigba Abattoir), late Alhaji Ibrahim Maisundu Beli, who died on Saturday 12th December, 2020 at the age of 64.

In his condolence message, the present Chairman of the body, Alhaji Musa Baba Ahmed, said the death of their former Chairman came to them as a surprise, adding that during the tenure of late Alhaji Maisundu, from 1999 –2013, he embarked on massive reformation of the administration of the Trans Amadi Abattoir

Alhaji Ahmed added that late Maisundu was among one of the longest serving Chairmen due to his pragmatic leadership, which paved the opportunity to lead the Abattoir to the path of development.

“We are praying for the family of late Alhaji Maisundu for Allah to protect them and give them the fortitude to bear the loss and for speedy recovery from the shocking demise, a loss to the entire butchers union in Rivers State and Nigeria at large,” Alhaji Ahmed said 

He therefore called on the executives of NBUN, Trans Amadi/Oginigba and the entire Abattoir in the State to emulate the leadership qualities of late Maisundu for the development of the Union in the state.

In his condolence message after visiting the Trans Amadi, Oginigba Abattoir, HRH King G.B. Odum (JP)encouraged the butchers to be strong in sorrow, adding that late Maisundu has done his bit on earth and left a remarkable track record to posterity

King Odum further advised the people to often bear in mind that death is for all irrespective of status in life, adding that the type of life one lives on earth is the most important thing because that is what guarantees paradise after death.
