The Ob (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland and former Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Odudu Sir (Dr.) Chukumela Nnam Obi II, OON, DSSRS, AP, JP has described the recent hospitality personality man of the year 2019 award bestowed on the immediate past Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Amaechi Obuah, JP, by the Sun Newspaper Publishing Limited as an honour well bestowed.
The Ogba Monarch in a statement described Bro. Felix Obuah as one of the illustrious sons of Ogba Ethnic Nationality with large heart who has made the people proud and has paid his dues through service and philanthropy.
He therefore challenged the recipient to note that “to whom much is given much is expected from him/her” and commended the publishers and management of the Sun Newspaper Publishing Limited for recognizing hard work as according to him, all the recipients’ deserved the awards.
The Eze Ogba who recently celebrated his 80th birthday and 50 years on the throne also rejoiced with Bro. Felix Obuah (Go Round) on his birthday anniversary which was on December 16, 2020 noting that even though he did not mark it in a big way, there is need for all good Nigerians to stay even in their bedrooms to thank Almighty God for what He has so far done in Go-Round’s life.
Oba Chukumela Nnam Obi II who is a grand patron of Nigerian Union of Journalists also congratulated the Publisher National Network Newspaper Port Harcourt, Pastor Jerry Needam, the management and staff of the Newspaper for winning the 2020 Newspaper of the year award and described the paper as the voice of the South-South people and king of Newspapers in the zone.
He described the publisher, Pastor Jerry Needam as not only a friend of his Palace but a foster son of Ogba Kingdom who is always there for the people when his attention is needed and pray Almighty God to continue to protect, guide and endow him with the strength, wisdom and good health to continue his work for the betterment of the country.
Oba Chukumela Nnam Obi II also congratulated an illustrious son of Omoku in Ogba Kingdom, Mr. Kelvin Bundu Ebiri on his appointment as the Media Aide to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (A) describing the appointment as well deserved considering track records in his pen and communication career, humility, hard work and God fearing.
He thanked Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike and others for the appointment and urged Mr. Kelvin Ebiri to also note that to whom much is given, much is very much expected and urged him not to disappoint his appointees as well as Ogba people.
