HRH, Mene Tornwee IV Celebrates Double Blessings

It was celebration galore during the yuletide for the families of HRH King (Dr) Taalor N. Tornwee IV as the age-long chieftaincy contest of Mene Bua Boue in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State which has been under litigation was eventually decided in his favour.

Within the period also an award of Excellence by some media practitioners was  conferred on the amiable monarch for his contributions to humanity.

Since the double-barrelled event, the residence of Mene Tornwee IV has turned to a Mecca of sort as family members, colleagues, friends and well-wishers have been trouping to his residence to felicitate with the monarch.

Back home in the village too, the surrounding communities went wild in jubilation when the news broke out.

The villagers were singing, dancing and praising the gods for prayer answered.

According to one of the villagers, “this is a case of when the righteous rule, the people rejoice.”

Speaking to newsmen at the celebration, the elated Mene Tornwee IV expressed his appreciation to the judiciary and the media, describing the two institutions as the heartbeat of the society.

He disclosed that the victory of the chieftaincy matter which he single handedly sponsored on behalf of his family was a welcome relief as he was sure of victory at last going by the overwhelming evidence tendered, affirming that indeed the judiciary remains the hope of the common man.

The organizers of the award on their own observed that the second class traditional ruler has been a focused and dedicated royal father who places the interest of his people above everything else.

“From all indication they noted, it would not be long before the Rivers State Government will consider the royal father for promotion to the first class status he rightly deserves”.
