Kidnapped Kenpoly Lecturer Released
A senior lecturer in the department of Insurance and Risk Management at the Kenule Beeson Polytechnic, Bori, in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, James Lekaage Fiiwe who was kidnapped from his Igwuruta residence of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State by unknown armed men a week ago has been released.
James Lekaage Fiiwe who is also the Deputy Dean of Management Science in the school was reported released to his family members after a hard bargain with the kidnappers.
Immediately, the ugly incident happened, the chairman of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Mr. Prince Sudor Nwiyor Kenpoly chapter led other stakeholders to plead for the unconditional release of the lecturer who hails from Lewe Community in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Recall that the kidnappers demanded for a N10million ransom.
Since after the release of Mr. James Lekaage Fiiwe, his residence has suddenly turned to a Mecca of sort as everyone wants to partake in giving thanks to God for sparing his life especially his students.
