Royal Father Advises Gov Wike To Shift Attention To Agricultural Sector
The Elelenwo Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli, HRH Eze Sunny Weli, has advised Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to shift attention to agricultural development to ensure food security having given enough attention to roads and infrastructural development in the state.
Speaking with newsmen during the commissioning of the Rumuogba One and Two flyovers by the former Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Rabiu Knwankwaso on Tuesday March 2, 2021, the monarch said Governor Wike has indeed proved to be a good leader who knows what his people want and goes out for it.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the state governor to improve more on the establishment of health care services as well as employment/empowerment of the youths and women groups.
Eze Weli rated Governor Wike second to the first military governor of the state, and Paramount Ruler of Toun Brass in Bayelsa State, King Diete Spiff in terms of infrastructural development.
“The governor’s leadership qualities has endeared him to even his enemies because event at this austere times, he is busy initiating and commissioning projects worth billions of naira,” he said.
He said the construction of these flyovers will not only improve the esthetic environment but will attract back headquarters of the companies that were chased away indirectly.
On insecurity in the country, the royal father said it is the responsibility of everybody. He however maintained that community policing and state policing should be allowed to complement the normal police controlled by the federal government.
