Blaze Of Glory As Apostle Zilly Aggrey Becomes PFN Vice President
…To Unveil 10-Point Agenda Of Transformation
For the debonair International General Overseer of Royal House of Grace International Church, Port Harcourt, Apostle King David Zilly Aggrey, the last 24 days has been more than remarkable, as it’s characterized by unending glories.
While still relishing the epochal celebration of his 59th birthday which attracted the creme de la creme at the Graceland headquarters, Port Harcourt on Sunday, March 21, 2021, little did the award winning cleric know what would be knocking at his door in the days ahead.
On Thursday, April 15, 2021, just while the ovation of his birthday celebration was yet to simmer, Apostle King David Zilly Aggrey scored another landmark, emerging as National Vice President (South-South) of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Expectedly, the appointment was greeted with joy as the Graceland family, in conjunction with the leadership of PFN (South-South region) and the International Network of Apostolic Ministries (INTERACT) on Friday, April 16, 2021, rode in a motorcade to the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, where they laid a red carpet to receive their father, the new South-South PFN boss.
On hand to receive “papa’s” handshake as he walked out of the Arrival Lounge, was his wife, Lady Apostle Gladys Aggrey and several top clerics, including Rivers CAN Secretary, Bishop Emma Ogu, Deputy President of INTERACT, Bishop Abos Willie and Chairman of INTERACT in Rivers State, Arch Bishop Eddy Ogbonda amongst others.
Addressing airport correspondents shortly, Apostle King Zilly Aggrey expressed gratitude to God for the appointment which he described as an honour.
While acknowledging the horde of congratulatory messages received from well-wishers, the man of God said he would pray and study the situation as according to him, the responsibility was awesome, tasking and something he never envisaged.
“It’s a zonal work, and the South-South done from Edo to Cross River State is the hotbed of Nigeria’s economy and the Christian community is incredibly very large with some of the strongest men of God. So, being given the duty to look at the Pentecostal responsibility in the zone of millions of people is awesome”, he said.
On the expectations from the Christian community in the South-South given his elevation, Apostle Aggrey, a former Rivers State Chairman of CAN and PFN respectively, said he would draw from the experiences garnered from those positions.
Asked to disclose his transformational agenda, he said with the help of God, he would infuse colour, charisma, greater level of unity and social responsibility to PFN at the grassroots.
“We have a 10-point agenda given us by the National President and I am responsible to ensure the 10-point agenda is executed in the South-South zone. In a very short time, we will give an elaborate programme on how to implement the agenda”, he stated.
On the growing insecurity in the country, Apostle Aggrey said one area the church would be of help to security agencies is information and intelligence gathering.
“The security agencies are not in their millions but our adherents are in their millions in all the nooks and crannies. All we are going to do is to empower our people on how to gather enough intelligence and pass it on to the security agencies for their operations”, he said.
