Owing to alleged sharp and fraudulent practice said to be perpetrated by some juju priests and priestess the Youth organization in Obirikom community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government area of Rivers state has banned natives and residents of the community from dragging people to Juju shrine.

Our reporter gathered that the pronouncement was made via a town crier who went round the community last week Thursday.

We learned that some persons in the community who has issues with some other persons allegedly connives with the ‘Juju Priest’ to defraud their victims under the guise of the ‘Juju’ priest ordering them to pay fine for being at fault or being responsible for the problem.

Our source disclosed that the Youth vowed to drag to court anybody who summon another person to ‘Juju’ shrine.

We learned that the development has caused ‘bad market’ for some Juju priest in and around the community as cases reported by natives and residents are believed to be the major source of income of the juju priests.

A native of the community Ikechukwu Peters who confirmed the development to our reporter said it is a welcome idea by the Youth as the activities of some ‘Juju’ priest needs to be checked.

Unconfirmed report say some of the ‘Juju’ priest have started relocating from the town for fear of loss of patronage.
