Late Chief Anele Laid To Rest

The remains of Late Chief (Evang) Emmanuel Anebo Anele (Jp), an accomplished chartered accountant and Director of Finance with the Rivers State government, Ministry of Finance, was committed to mother earth at his country home, Umuerieri-Umuocham, Ndashi in Etche LGA, Rivers State over the weekend amidst pomp and pageantry.

Delivering his sermon shortly before the interment, Pastor Ejesu of the Realm of Glory Interventional Churches, Port Harcourt admonished the mourners to pay more attention on the need for them to leave a worthy legacy like the deceased.

According to the man of God “It is important that one leaves worthy legacies that he/she would be remembered with when the person is gone”, adding that for one to fulfill his/her God’s given destiny on earth, it is necessary to assist the down trodden in the society and as well run the heavenly race, stressing that both hell and heaven is real.

The biography of late Chief Anele who died suddenly at the age of 62 without any sign of illness on the eve of the Local Council election revealed that he was a self-made man who believes in self-development and continuous learning hence he was undergoing a terminal degree in his chosen profession at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education before his demise.

“Emmanuel who was a family-centric man with strong Christian values met and married his wife, Mrs Grace Anele (Nee Nwaorgu) 31 years ago and the marriage was blessed with five(5) children.”

It further stated that late Chief Anele’s house was always home to numerous family and friends whom he welcomed warmly and raised as his own.

Though late Anele started off his career as a mathematics teacher in his Alma Mater-County Grammar School, Ikwerre/Etche, he ended up as an Accountant and Director with the Rivers State Civil Service.

Besides this, Anele whom many described as a philanthropist per excellence had over seven(7) other private companies he was controlling.

Late Chief Anele had many Awards of Excellence to his credit both from churches and Non Governmental Organization. The biography further disclosed that the deceased was an amiable and outgoing man, who loved the company of family and friends and enjoyed philanthropic activities immensely; and so belonged to several social and charity organizations where he supported fundamental human life courses.

“Late Chief Anele according to his widow, “will be greatly missed as his demise has left a great void no one can ever fill,” she cried.

Speaking with newsmen at the sidelines of the burial ceremony, Hon. Iheanyi Chukwu Charles Nwaorgu (JP), a brother in-law to the deceased and the immediate past Commissioner for Agriculture in the State, described him as the Iroko tree that shaded and sheltered the down-trodden and as well became a mouth-piece for the defenseless.

“He was also the biblical lamp on the mountain top which illuminated our environment  and could not be hidden under a bushel.

Hon. Nwaorgu disclosed further that the numerous mourners who came from far and near to pay their last respect to the deceased is borne  out of love for him in reciprocity.

“Chief Anele was a man of the people who touched many lives with his resources, and there was never a sad moment in his presence”, Late Chief Emma Anele was survived by his widow and five(5) children including Mr. Chukwuemeka Prince Anele, Miss Uchechi Queen Anele, Miss Chinwendu Sophia Anele, Mr. Chidi Wisdom Anele and Mr. Odinakachi Miracle Anele.

It is worthy of note that the traditional wedding of the second daughter, Miss Chinwendu Queen Anele that was billed for Saturday May, 8, 2021 eventually turned out to be the burial of her dad.
