Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has joined other people of goodwill across the globe to felicitate with Hon. Justice Mary Ukaego Odili (JSC), wife of the former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Dr. Peter Odili, as she celebrates her birthday on Wednesday, 12th May 2021.
In a statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt, on Wednesday, 12th May 2021, Dr. Banigo described Justice Odili as a great patriot and legal luminary whose contribution to the socio economic and political development of Rivers State and indeed Nigeria is beyond measure.
According to the Deputy Governor, Hon. Justice Mary Odili has continued to serve meritoriously over the years as a Judge of the High Court, Rivers State between 1992 to 2004, Justice Court of Appeal (JCA), Abuja Division from 2004 to 2010, Presiding Justice Court of Appeal, Kaduna Division, from 2010 to 2011, and Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (JSC) from June 23rd 2011 to date.
Dr. Banigo said as the First Lady of Rivers State from May 1999 to May 2007 Hon. Justice Mary Odili positively impacted on the lives of young people, through her pet project, The Adolescent Project (TAP) where thousands of youths were given a new lease of life.
Dr. Banigo while wising Hon. Justice Mary Odili many happy returns, prayed the Almighty God to continue to bless and keep her in good health.
