All Is Now Set For Rumuekpe Clan King’s Celebration

All arrangements have been concluded for the official celebration of a successful installation/ coronation of Rumuekpe Clan Paramount Ruler, HRH Eze Christian Amadi Evekwuru (JP), (Eze Chigu Rumuekpe Clan) in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the State School Field, Mgbuoda, Rumuekpe by 12 Noon prompt.

According to the special invitation in circulation, the event which will be under the chairmanship of HRH (Eze) Hon Damian Ejiohuo, Nenwe-eli XIII, Eze Rundele N’Ogbo II, has the Emohua Council Chairman, Hon (Dr) Chidi Lloyd as the special guest of honour and coordinator of Ikwerre Chiefs and Elders Forum Worldwide, Eze Paul Wonodi as the father of the day.

Speaking with newsmen at his palace over the weekend, the king said there will be tight security arrangement at the event as the security operatives with the local hunters association will synergise to provide security of lives and property.

He promised to double his efforts to ensure that the community covers lost ground of the past years.

The monarch lamented that some persons due to their selfish interest do not want the progress of the community and so would do everything possible to draw the hand of the clock backwards.

He assured that his first assignment will be to work towards the recognition of his stool to its deserved first class status and then commit every members of the community towards the realization of the task ahead.

It would be recalled that the Rumuekpe Clan in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State coronated their king on Sunday 23rd May, 2021 after 15 years of crisis that left them devasted and neglected.  

The historic event which was held at their ancestral ground was conducted by the Rumuekpe Council of Traditional Rulers as represented by the eight (8) communities that make up the clan including the Community Development Committee (CDC) and led by the Nenwe-Eli Rumuekpe Clan, Elder Philip Enyindah who is the eldest in the clan as tradition demands.
