Ele Monarch Urges Mothers, Children On Steadfastness, Good

Parents have been enjoined to be steadfast in the Lord and nurture their children and wards through the right path as leaders of tomorrow.

The Amanyanabo of ancient Ele kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, His Royal Highness, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru Apina VII made the call at a twin events of Mothers’ Union Conference and Thanksgiving Service at Diocese of Okrika Anglican Communion Ogan-Ama Deanery and at Children Harvest of St. Martins Anglican Church, Ogbogbo Town, all in Okrika Local Government Area on Sunday.

King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru Apina VII who made the remarks while speaking as the Royal Father of the Day at the occasions reiterated his determination to always partner the church on activities that would propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Traditional Ruler opined that since life time is working time and it is God that gave life, he will acknowledge his divine existence, and admonished all to put their trust in him for his protection and blessings.

He maintained that his passion in assisting the church and mankind will always be at the front-burner despite others schedules of activities and responsibilities, stressing that children need help to grow spiritually and mentally for the good of the society, and thanked God for the opportunity.

The Ele king said he was humbled to be the Father of the Day at the various occasion and also announced some financial assistance to the programmes.

Meanwhile, the Deanery President of St. Marks Anglican Church, Ogan-Ama, Mrs. Tamunoimi Lawrence has called on Mothers to be committed to the things of God by being obedient, submissive, worship thy creator in faithfulness, in truth and in spirit and work for their salvation.

Mrs. Lawrence, who is also the President of Women Union and Women Guild of the Church made the call while speaking on the theme; “Knowing God” during the sermon further enjoined all to be strong in the lord and be faithful to their partners as builders, stressing that they should encounter God as their lord and personal saviour, as there is a prepared place for those who truly worshiped in spirit.

Highlights of the day was the unveiling of the tree of life and long life by the Royal father of the Day, His Royal Highness, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, Apina VII among other activities.
