Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that he will continue executing key projects across the state, despite the forthcoming elections.

The governor inspected ongoing construction of the Judges Quarters, the Mile One Market and the Fruit Garden Market.

He said: “Like I said, when I promise something, I fulfill it. For us, that is the hallmark of good governance.  The people have confidence in us

“They know if we can do this in our first term, then we can do more in our second term”.

The governor expressed happiness that the youths working at the project sites appreciate his administration’s schemes to empower them through projects delivery.

He said: “So many of these companies employ thousands of our youths at their project sites. You can see the number of youths working here.

“We will continue to fund projects with a view to creating employment opportunities for our youths. We have no other thing to do than to offer our people projects”

At the Judges Quarters, the buildings for the judges are nearing completion. The contractors have completed the roofing of majority of the buildings, while internal drainage is under construction. Workers at the site sang the praises of Governor Wike

The Mile One Market has reached over 80 percent completion stage. Governor Wike inspected the project amid cheers from site workers.
