Ele Monarch Assures Ogube War Canoe House Of Synergy
The Amanyanabo of Ancient Ele Kingdom, Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru, has assured the chief and people of Ogube War Canoe House of Okirika Local Government Area of their desire to work together as brothers for peace and development to thrive in the areas.
King Felix Tamunoseipriala Okuru, Apina VII gave the assurance when the newly installed Chief of the House, Chief Engr. Igbikiowubo Michael and members of the house paid him a courtesy visit in his palace.
The Ele monarch who stressed the need for unity in Wakirike ethnic nationality noted that all should be their brother’s keeper, adding that together with a purpose will bring rapid development and peace amongst the people and lauded the visitors for their well articulated vision and idea.
He said Ele as one of the ancient nine clans in Wakirike is fast growing and it would soon become a tourist attraction with its strategic geographical location and promised to allocate them a piece of land for anyone that is willing to have a building in the kingdom.
The traditional ruler of Ancient Ele Kingdom however, advised the new- chief of Ogube House, Chief Igbikiowubo Michael to always pray for wisdom to lead his people and always consult as well as consider some advice from the people before taking any decision in order to move the house forward, and also congratulated him on his installation.
King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru also enjoined members of Ogube War Canoe House to always co-operate and give him their support for the growth of the House and prayed God to give the chief wisdom, courage and strength to pilot the affairs of the people.
Earlier in his speech, Chief Igbikiowubo Michael of Ogube House thanked the Ele Monarch for the warm reception, lauding him for his antecedents which have shown that he is truly a worthy son of Wakirike whose philanthropy cut across ethnic and national boundaries.
Chief Michael opined that he was chosen by his people to serve them and promised not to disappoint them, pointing out that he will want to emulate the king in his activities and benevolent services to the people as they fraternize for the growth of Ele Kingdom and Ogube War Canoe House for ‘Kerike-se’ to grow from strength to strength once again.
The chief, a onetime national president of Wakirike students union noted that they were at the palace to seek his fatherly advice and support for the growth of the nationality as they are available and ready to work in synergy for peace, unity and growth of the Wakirike people and Rivers State.
He appealed to all sons and daughters of the ethnic nationality to ensure that all hands should be on deck to ensure that projects meant to be sited in the area do not elude the people like the NLNG, Agip and Energy City so that youths would be gainfully employed.
Other speakers during the occasion were the Secretary, Ele Divisional Council of Chiefs, Chief (Hon) Godknows Imbu Kulobo, the Legal Adviser – Chief Johnwill Aberenika, an Elder of Ele Kingdom, Hon. Fiberesima Minaseichinbo as well as the Chairman of Ogube War Canoe House Engr. Joe Jonathan and the Amadabo of Abibiba in Kee, Kalahari Kingdom, His Royal Highness Chief Akuro Ngogo.
