Kalabari Youth Council Dismisses KUF’s Reaction To Kidnap Of Expatriate As Hypocritical
As reactions continue to trail the recent kidnap of the expatriate working on the Trans-Kalabari Road which has received wide condemnation by a cross section of the society, the Kalabari Youth Council (KYC) Worldwide says the condemnation made by Kengema Unity Forum (KUF) is mere hypocrisy.
The President-General of the youth body, Amb. Ipalibo Madodoye alleged that KUF’s media display was rather too hasty and a mockery to kalabari land where the project is sited and to the Rivers State Government in whom KUF has never seen anything good.
He challenged KUF to also come out publicly to condemn the then most shameless kidnap of the wife of one of the greatest lovers and supporters of Kalabari kingdom, late High Chief (Dr) O.B. Lulu-Briggs and expose the masterminds.
Amb. Madodoye also threatened that the Kalabari Youth Council will challenge the credibility of the KUF in court if they fail to unmask those behind that abominable kidnap of their kalabari daughter and all the evil kidnapping and illegal oil bunkering perpetrated within kalabari land from 1997 till date.
The president of the youth body condemned the dastardly kidnap and for the umpteenth time, called for the immediate and unconditional release of the expatriate. He also warned against anything action that will distract or forestall the Trans-kalabari project or any other projects in kalabari land and advised the agents of such sinister actions to steer clear even as he called on all community youth bodies to be on the red alert and report suspicious movements to the appropriate quarters.
