Suspected Cultists Arrested For Forcefully Initiating Pastor’s 15yr-Old-Son
One Ifeanyi and two other young men were arrested by Octopus Strike Force of the Nigeria Police unit at an uncompleted building opposite a popular brothel at Azikiwe street Mile 11 Diobu for forcefully initiating a 15-year-old boy said to be the Son of a Pastor who resides at Ihediohama into cultism, National Network learned.
We gathered that the father of the teenager was said to have seen his son reciting cult orientation from a book in his hand in the house.
A source who pleaded anonymity informed our reporter that upon questioning by the father, the boy reportedly confessed that he was forcefully initiated into a cult group at a place in Azikiwe street and given oath of secrecy not to disclose even to his parents what transpired.
Our source disclosed that physical examination of the body of the 15-year-old-boy by his father showed injuries in his body indicative of drilling of new intake of cult members.
The source further explained that the Pastor reported the incident at Octopus Strike Force, a unit of Nigeria Police in Rivers State which swung into action and arrested the three suspected cultists based on credible and actionable intelligence.
Another source privy to the development told our reporter that the Police unit was making effort to arrest other members of the gang.
Our reporter gathered that there had been constant raid of hideouts of suspected cultists along Azikiwe Street, Mile Two Diobu by the Police after the incident.
SP Nnamdi Omoni, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command did not respond to calls as at press time.
