The witch doctor, Dr. Mike India in whose shrine in Ahoada East Local Government Area was found the personal and official pictures of the Rivers State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Emeka OnowuAnyasodike, may have been killed.
It will be recalled that the little or no efforts reportedly made by the police to apprehend the witch doctor, whose shrine was allegedly demolished by irate natives of the community while the man allegedly disappeared into thin air, yielded no positive results.
It was even reported that the villagers had tried to set the demolished shrine on fire but that every particle touched by the fire could not burn.
However, the popular saying that ‘one day is for the thief, and another day for the owner’ apparently played out on Tuesday, as a consolidated effort by the villagers paid off, resulting in the arrest of the witch doctor, popularly known as Dr. Mike India.
Like the popular cliché which says that ‘power pass power’, unconfirmed reports told this medium that upon his disappearance after his shrine was demolished a fortnight ago, villagers in the Ahoada East community allegedly consulted a native doctor with ‘higher spiritual powers’ who went in hot pursuit, tracking the culprit and got him apprehended.
But unconfirmed reports told National Network that Dr. Mike India, whose image with blood-drenched face trended on the internet as at press time, may have been mobbed by the angry youths.
Efforts to reach the state Police image maker, Nnamdi Omoni for comments failed as his phone lines could not connect, even as similar effort by our reporter to speak to the Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Onowu Anyasodike, proved abortive, also due to network failures in phone connection.
Recall that National Network recently reported the discovery of Hon. Anyasodike’s pictures inside the juju shrine, a development that was greeted with condemnation from members of the public, especially from those who knew the commissioner closely.
According to a source, someone may have downloaded the pictures of the Commissioner and took it to the juju shrine.
It was gathered that victims of the witch doctor, who were still alive but down with diverse illnesses, miraculously got freed from their afflictions, after the juju shrine was pulled down.
