Dr. Kabari Medical Outreach Kicks Off December 18 In Gokana

Hundreds of indigenes and other residents in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State will receive attention when operators of the Late Dr. Barikura Kabari Foundation commence first phase of its medical outreach for the public this week.

Organizers said, the event would start at 10 O’ Clock in the morning, in the ever-peaceful Barako Community, hometown of the Late Ukraine-trained medical guru and former Paramount Ruler, Dr. Barikura Kabari.

Speaking to journalists on behalf of the Foundation, Dr. Dinebari O.N. Kabari explained that the family of the Late medical practitioner consider the project as an appropriate means to build a legacy in his name by continuing his good works, even in death.

”We will carry out the first medical outreach on Saturday, this week, to mark our father’s one year post then officials, launch the foundation the following day, being Sunday in the same Community.

Our goal is to raise enough money for the foundation to enable a reoccurring yearly outreach.

Doctor Dinebari also said that the initial goal of the project is to reach and attend to at lease 1,000,000 people through provision of free emsultations, prescribing and administering drugs, and free eye glasses and thereby, make primary healthcare delivery accessible to those who cannot afford it.

The young medical Doctor pleaded with members of the public, corporate bodies, will-to=do individuals and organizations to attend the launching of the Foundation and assist it achieve its set goal.

A report has it that some personalities in and outside Ogoniland have indicated their readiness to attend the launch this Sunday in Barako Community, even as the leaders of the Ogoni Frontiers (TOF) has sent a goodwill message through its spokesperson, Comrade Alloy Khenom, applauding the Late Dr. Barikuma Kabari’s family for floating the project.
