A middle-aged man was beaten to pulp by some ladies said to be commercial sex workers and passersby at Victoria/Degema Street, Old Port Harcourt Township last Sunday over sexual harassment of female children at a Mega Pentecostal Church located at Club Road adjacent Niger Street.
We gathered that the man was caught allegedly fondling the private parts of a six-year-old girl who went to urinate at a secluded area within the church premises.
The source told our reporter that the man ran away as the person who saw him raised alarm.
Our source disclosed that the suspect was later apprehended at Victoria/ Degema street in Old Port Harcourt township that Sunday afternoon.
Some suspected female commercial sex workers who joined in apprehending the suspect were quoted asking him why he did not patronize them (sex workers) but rather choose to sexually assault female minors as they flogged him severally.
A business owner in the area who identified himself simply as James told our reporter that the suspect was taken back to the church after he was apprehended but it was not clear if he was handed over to the Police by the church.
The church was under lock and key when our reporter visited to get information from the church last Monday.
