A fleeing suspected killer of the wife of one Mr Kenneth Okeke has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command. She was apprehended at Auchi, Edo State following a tip-off.
The female suspect whose name is still under wrap was said to have escaped to Edo state after she committed the offence on 29th January, 2022.
In an interview with Journalists, the husband to the deceased Kenneth Okeke alleged that the suspect ambushed his wife and poured her pepper in the eyes before stabbing her severally which resulted in her death.
Mr Okeke disclosed that his wife and the suspect had minor disagreement in their compound which had been settled before the incident.
The father of five called for justice on the matter.
Meanwhile the homicide department at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) has begun investigation to ascertain the remote cause of the death
Our correspondent gathered that the investigation will include an autopsy test on the remains of the deceased to determine the actual cause of her death.
As at press time, the suspect was being detained at SCIID, Port Harcourt.
