Bomu Community Applauds Dum Dekor, Dumle Maol

…Says They Are Patriotic

The Menebon in Council, HRH. MeneVurasi Benedict Tenalo Gbereleve the XIII, council of Chiefs, Community Development Committee (CDC) and the good people of Bomu Community in Gokana Local Government Area, have extended a hand of appreciation to Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Dekor, member representing Gokana and Khana Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives aswell as Chairman, House Committee on Host Communities and Hon. Barr. Dumle Maol, member representing Gokana in the Rivers State House of Assembly for their efforts, time and patriotic approaches toward the community.

On the 10th of February, 2022 Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Deekor led the House Committee members on Environment to Bomu in view of a petition that was written by the community against the oil giant, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), about the pollution of their environment which had left the area in a devastated form since 1958 till date.

On receipt of the petition by the House of Reps, they swung into action and came to verify the claims.

This act of our dear representatives is patriotic indeed and deserves commendation.

As a people, we promise to always maintain peace and give way for sustainable development as it shall always come from the angles God would bring them.

Bomu Really appreciates you and your colleagues including the representatives from Shell for your efforts and wishes that God works through the process to restoring their environment.
