PDP Stakeholder Makes Case For Obuah
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholder in the state, Chief (Dr) Goodluck Nwobike has advised the Wike administration on the need for continuity in government as they search for a successor in office, especially considering the superlative performance of the present administration.
He stated this in a chat with newsmen over the weekend in Port Harcourt.
According to him, “a man is not happy until he has produced one that will take over from him to maintain his legacies”.
And it is indeed obvious that it is not only in the business entity that continuity was invented,” he said.
Sir Nwobike made it known that the clamour for the RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro Felix Obuah to succeed governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike in office in 2023 is most appropriate as a hardworking and loyal party man.
“To say that GO ROUND is most qualified for this position is an understatement. Having understudied his boss from inception GO ROUND is a man of the people and is compassionate on matters that concerned Rivers people just like the outgoing governor”.
He maintained that Wike would be glad to handover to a trusted compassionate and detribalized Rivers man who would keep the flag flying, adding that it does not mean the successor would not initiate his own agenda “but a situation where a successor wickedly destroys the predecessor’s policies and programes or wasting precious resources in witch-hunting should be discouraged”.
By so doing, the party man advised that the stakeholders should be involved in the search for worthy successor like Bro Felix Obuah, adding that Obuah’s candidature will not only maintain the PDP legacies in the state and beyond but would add new feathers on the party’s cap as a tested and trusted administrator.
“Bro Obuah is remembered as the man who piloted the affairs of the PDP, Rivers State Chapter during a difficult situation and won elections for the party back to back”.
Chief Nwobike maintained that the party and state will be comfortable under the leadership of the grassroot politician, and pleaded for the stakeholders to give him a chance.
He disclosed further that in all the 23 local government areas of the state exists two to three groups of political associations which are urging him to contest for the governorship position to complement his humanitarian agenda in life.
Chief Nwobike used the opportunity to add his own voice to the Orashi Monarch to join the race, assuring him of mobilizing support for the actualization of the project.
