Chairman, Editorial Board of National Network Group of newspapers and a university lecturer, Dr. Barigbon Gbara Nsereka has lost his mother, Alice Ntibia Nsereka.
Late Madam Nsereka, a centenarian departed to eternal glory on Friday, January 14, 2022.
In a statement formally announcing the demise of Madam Nsereka, his only surviving son, Dr. Nsereka said her remains will be laid to rest on a date to be announced.
Lamenting the loss of his dear mother, the renowned Communication Scholar, and Associate Professor, Rivers State University, Dr. Nsereka described her as a soulmate in the absence of father, brother, sister, etc.
In the emotion-laden statement, Dr. Nsereka described his late mother as saintly enough to deserve the first position in the world’s directory of the kindest women of her time.
“Being the only surviving child and brother of the departed woman, my heart is still very heavy for the loss of my mother. I would feel the same way even if she lived to be 200”, Dr. Nsereka sobbed.
