Ele Monarch Optimistic Of Ogu/Bolo PDP Candidate On Development

The Amanyanabo of ancient Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, King Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru has expressed optimism that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in April 17 Local Government elections would use his wealth of experience to take the local government to an enviable level if elected into office.

King Felix Okuru, made the assertion when the chairmanship candidate, Bam. Vincent Nemieboka and his campaign team visited him at his Palace at Ele over the weekend.

The Ele Monarch who thanked God for the candidate, commended the party for considering a son of Ele to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming election in Ogu/Bolo Local government Area, stating that it is historical.

He assured that the people of Ele Kingdom would massively vote for their own to reciprocate theife gesture, and enjoined the people to vote for a candidate that would put smiles on the faces of the Ele people.

The PDP candidate for Ogu/Bolo LGA in the April 17, Local Government election, Barr. Vincent Nemieboka reiterated his desire to work and serve the people of the area, adding that he would take Ogu/Bolo to another level if voted into power.

Barr. Nemieboka noted that Ele kingdom which is one of the ancient nine clans of Okrika ethnic nationality deserved rapid development, stressing that during his tenure, priority would be given to the people, so that they would also enjoy the dividends of democracy.

He promised to improve the chieftaincy institution and also build a befitting palace for the traditional rulers if resources are available, but frowned on the misunderstanding between Ogu and Ele communities, which he assured would be settled in order to move the communities forward.

The PDP candidate promised to set precedence for consideration of another Ele son to be tested, trusted and proven citizen by ensuring that he fulfils all his promises to the glory of God and mankind.

In their separate speeches, the PDP Party Chairman. Marcus Thompson and the Campaign Committee Chairman, Hon Isaac Tamunoiminabo said they were in the palace of the Ele Monarch as tradition demands to introduce the candidates for the April 17, Local Government elections to the king for his Royal blessing, and thanked him for the warm reception.

Earlier, the spokesman of Ele Divisional Council of Chiefs, Chief Sample Amatarime Onumodu Amakiri had described the PDP chairmanship candidate for the April 17 election as an Ele project and assured that they would not fail or disappoint them during the election.

According to him, the people of Ele Ward 12 were grateful for such an opportunity and further assured of their massive support for the party on April 17.

Other PDP chieftains of PDP in Ogu/Bolo LGA during the visit include former Ogu/Bolo LGA Chairman and past Managing Director of Onne-Ikpokiri Oil and Gas Free Zone, Sir Victor Alabo, a Board Member of Rivers State Schools Board, Chief Faith Amaso, a former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ogu/Bolo, Mrs. Daizy Tuboalabo and PDP women leader of the LGA, Martha Ibifari among others.
