Defilement Of Two-Year-Old Twins: Suspects Transferred To Human Rights Desk
Two boys aged 16 and 19 of the same parents re-arrested last Monday by Puff Ader tactical Police unit for allegedly defiling twins( boy and girl) aged two years in Port Harcourt have been transferred to human rights desk at the Rivers State Police headquarters, Moscow Road on the directive of the Rivers State Police Commissioner, CP Eboka Friday.
The mother of the twins, Achinihu Clement made the disclosure to our reporter in an interview.
Explaining how she uncovered the alleged defilement of her two year old twins, Mrs Clement said when she wanted to dress her son up on 10th of January, she observed that her son was not able to sit on the bed. Upon interrogation her son in children tune, told her that her male inlaw aged 16 year who resides with them penetrated his anus.
Mrs Clement revealed that she took the children to the hospital after checking her son, where it was discovered that the hymen of her two year old female child has been completely destroyed.
She further revealed that she made an entry to Puff Ader tactical unit and the suspects were arrested but later released under questionable circumstance.
She noted that the suspects were re-arrested following Intervention of human rights group, Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign which brought the development to the knowledge of the Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday.
A senior Police officer who craved for anonymity told our reporter that detectives at the human rights desk have began instense investigation to unravel the level of culpability of the suspects.
