Ahoada East Chairman Sets Up Committee To Monitor Palliatives Distribution

The Ahoada East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ben Eke has set up 21 man committee comprising Civil Society Organizations, Security Agencies and humanitarian groups to monitor the distribution of Federal Government donated palliatives in the area.

Inaugurating the committee which had Elder MacLean Krama as Chairman, Hon. Eke urged them to ensure hitch-free and equitable distribution of the palliatives to the wards and communities across Ahoada East.

Hon. Eke disclosed that the palliatives came from the Federal Government to cushion the effect of hardship the people were facing as a result of removal of fuel subsidy and warned that it should reach those they were meant for.

The Ahoada East boss warned against diversion of the items to unauthorized places, stressing that any member of the committee who defaulted would be punished.

The Rivers State Senatorial Youth Leader and Ahoada East Leader of APC, Comrade Chisa pledged to work with the committee to achieve its mandate and thanked Hon. Ben. Eke for his magnanimity in appointing him as a member of the committee. He said the chairman held the development of humanity high above party differences.

Among members of the committee include, Hamiliton Moses, Lazarus Ishia, Ayiga Peters, Precious Igbokwe, Hon. Nnmadi Abule Agyuiyi and Comrade Walson Ekene.

Others are LGA Women Leader, Hon .(Mrs.) Florence Odukwu, Hon. (Mrs.) Bertha Ideozu, Mr. Esor Okorobe, Mr. Kenneth Oguzor, Alhaji Aminu etc.
