…Send SOS To Wike, CP
Some landowners in Rukpokwu area (along Royal Estate 2), Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State have cried out over alleged unwholesome activities of land grabbers.
The landowners said the suspected land grabbers have already dispossessed some of their fellow landowners of their lands, and sold them out to their collaborators who claim to be estate developers.
The aggrieved landowners want to the State governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike, and the Police Commissioner in the state to quickly intervene and save them from being robbed of their hard earned property.
They further claimed that the alleged land grabbers whose leader is of Kalabari extraction of Rivers State popularly called Don was using security operatives to carry out the fraudulent act.
They also suspected the land grabbers were not alone in the deal and were conniving with some faceless community members as well as some security operatives who provide cover for them.
“We make bold to intimate the governor and the law enforcement agencies of the lawless act to avoid imminent crisis in the area should we take laws into our hands.
“We bought the lands with our hard earned money and cannot watch idly while these properties are just filtered away by land grabbers who use their money and connections to cow us,” the landowners lamented.
