Obuah Eulogizes Hon. Justice Mary Peter-Odili As She Bows Out

Hon. Justice Dame Mary Ukaego Peter-Odili, CFR is an amazon who has risen to the pinnacle of her career through commitment and hard work and has become a model for the upcoming youths in Rivers State, Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
She deserves our gratitude for making Rivers State proud having excelled in that high office of a Supreme Court jurist as she retires from Nigeria’s Apex court Thursday, May 12, 2022.
These were the remarks of Bro Felix Obuah, a frontline governorship aspirant in Rivers State in his glowing tributes to the former First Lady of the State, who bows out of the Nigerian Judicial system after 44years of meritorious service, and attaining the age of 70.
Bro Felix Obuah who is also the immediate past Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State Chapter, said Justice Mary Peter-Odili deserves a special standing ovation from Nigerians and the womenfolk in particular having succeeded in making a case that given the opportunity, women can even perform better in such coveted office.
The Ogba-born outstanding politician and philanthropist of note, said one exciting record of Justice Mary Peter-Odili is that she rose through the ranks and crisscrossed parts of the country rendering justice before getting to the Apex court, a record that is not only commendable but also imitable.
He also gave kudos to Sir Dr. Peter Odili, beloved husband of Hon. Justice Mary Peter-Odili and former Rivers State governor for all his support and encouragement necessary for the achievement of the uncommon feat by his wife.
Bro. Felix Obuah said both Hon. Justice Mary Peter-Odili and her heartthrob, Sir Dr Peter Odili should be appreciated and commended because it only takes two to tango to be able to walk the long path to the Supreme Court and retire honourably and remarkably after attaining the mandatory age of 70.
He congratulated Justice Mrs. Mary Peter-Odili on the double blessing of a successful public service and additional year to her eventful life.
