PDP Chieftain Lauds Gov Wike On Presidential Ambition
A PDP chieftain in Rivers State, Chief Hope Utchay has lauded Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his decision to vie for president.
Chief Utchay who made the commendation in a chat with reporters said his group the Ex-Councillors/ Supervisors Forum Obio/Akpor Chapter had mapped out strategies to canvass support for the governor across the 36 states of the Federation through the members in various local government areas.
He put great emphasis on the leadership qualities of the governor saying he is a committed visionary leader who had been tested and trusted. According to him, Wike has what it takes to take Nigeria to the promised land.
Chief Utchay who is the Coordinator Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI) Evo Kingdom said since Governor Wike went into politics he has been winning many political battles, stressing that as at today nobody can push him around in politics.
He described Wike as a political strategist, master planner and executor who has the will and capacity to put an end to the numerous killings in the country and take Nigeria out of the current economic backwardness.
The chairman Ex-Councillors/Supervisions Forum Obio/Akpor made a passionate appeal to the PDP national delegates to elect him as the PDP presidential flagbearer for the 2023 presidential election.
He explained that other presidential aspirants are good, but stressed that Nigerians needed Wike at this critical time to revive the country. “He has demonstrated and proved it beyond doubts that he was born to lead,” Utchay said.
The GDI Coordinator said every right thinking person in this country should join hands and work as a team to ensure that the APC is sent packing in 2023 having failed Nigerians woefully.
He urged Nigerians irrespective of party affiliation to remain steadfast in supporting Wike in his bid to become president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Chief Utchay also commended the governor for his bold steps in ensuring that the disputed oil wells with Imo State were returned to Rivers through the instrumentality of the Supreme Court.
