It was a smooth sail for Hon. Collins Owhondah as he picked the ticket of PHALGA Federal Constituency II, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC, for the 2023 general elections.
Hon. Owhondah who got the bulk of the delegates votes as the only aspirant in the House of Representatives primary election held at Ojukwu Field in Diobu, thanked the delegates for choosing him and promised to contribute meaningful in making laws that will have positive impact on the lives of the people. He urged all to work as a team so as to win power back from the PDP.
“Today marks the journey for the liberation of PHALGA Federal constituency II, to bring back the future of our youths. I want to thank everybody for the mandate given to me and I promise not to let you down. I am very optimistic that with your support, we will get the seat at the general elections,” Hon. Owhondah declared.
Hon. Owhondah promised to give his people quality, robust, inclusive and selfless representation at the Green Chamber, “I will not let my people down rather I will be a bridge between the poor and the rich,” he pledged.
Announcing the result after the election, the returning officer, Darlington Nwaoju declared Owhondah winner being the only aspirant for the election and thanked the delegates for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.
With his emergence, Hon. Owhondah will now battle with Hon. Chima Boms of PDP for the House of Reps seat for PHALGA Federal Constituency II in the 2023 general elections.
