Chief Worlu Wins Rescheduled PHALGA APC Constituency III Primary Election

Chief Dickens Ruhunda Worlu has emerged winner in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Rivers State House of Assembly, PHALGA Constituency III seat.

The election was rescheduled following the irregularities that marked the previous primary polls held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Ojukwu field in Diobu, Port Harcourt.

Announcing the result, the Returning Office, Amadi Brilliant said Chief Worlu polled 29 votes to defeat his opponents Darling Amadi who scored 6 votes, Churchill Amadi got 3 votes while Henry Anaele Okpara scored 0 vote.

Chief Worlu expressed his gratitude to the people of his constituency for reposing their confidence in him “I must thank delegates and the people of PHALGA constituency III for their remarkable display of confidence in me and our dear party. I assure you all that come 2023 as the flagbearer of this constituency III I will not disappoint you but be your voice at Rivers State House of Assembly if elected,” he declared.

He assured that most of the yearning and aspiration as it pattern to Diobu will be well taken care of through purposeful representation, stressing that he would deliver his legislative duties if elected by initiating measures that will tackle the menace of insecurity in the area.

Chief Worlu attributed the victory to the goodwill and perseverance of the people in making the right choice and urged all and sundry to come together as party men so as to deliver PHALGA constituency III from the shackles of PDP.

He said with God on their side, he is very optimistic that 2023 election will be a smooth sail for him because history will repeat itself, while recalling the election he won in the year 2018, August 18 where he said some retrogressive forces never allowed the result to be announced.

Chief Worlu used the medium to thank the INEC official that stood on her ground to ensure that the right thing was done, despite the hitches that characterized the conduct of the previous primary election that was cancelled.
