Team East West Road Media houses wrapped up a 6-4 aggregate win over Team NTA Road Media houses despite losing 1-3 on Monday in the return leg played at AIT football field.

The first leg played to mark Workers Day ended 5-1 in favour of the East West Road comprising Today FM and CoolWazobiaInfo but such lethal attacking display was lacking on Monday as the NTA Road Media comprising AIT, Raypower, Treasure FM, Wish FM, Atlantic TV, adjudged to be the away side despite playing home, this time dominated possession first half forcing the home team to massive defending.

The NTA Road Media created couple of chances first half with Ikechukwu Jasper forcing Taye Alade of CoolWazobiaInfo to many point blank saves.

It was a drab and fruitless first half for both teams with East West Road Media who lost Onah Kosi of CoolWazobiaInfo to injury early in the game struggling at the middle thereby leaving goal poacher Uzochukwu Uduma of Today FM to work some more and on occasions isolated.

Second half however brought the game to life when Uduma struck a cool finish within five minutes into the half to give the adjudged home team who at this time had found stability in the middle of the lead.

Two minutes later Jasper eventually found the back of the net nodding home Chukwu Victor’s assist to bring the game leveled.

Victor will eventually give the away side their first lead of the game after he was left open and unmarked to take a thunderous shot outside the box of which Alade had no answers.

Team NTA Road Media found some tight grips on Uduma with substitutions seeing a new backline in the game to keep things tight at the back.

Victor Kwame Sampong off the bench added more stability and threat going forward for East West Road Media but it was NTA road Media who had one of their substitutions paid off when Prince Divine scored the third to seal things and ensure that the adjudged away side despite the match being played at AIT football field, had the last laugh this time as they came wounded from the 5-1 first leg defeat.

The friendly scheduled to mark Democracy Day therefore ended 6-4 on aggregate in favour of Team East West Road Media, and all media houses involved will hope to resume hostilities on the pitch of play in the forthcoming Rivers chapter of Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) cup.
