Suspected Motorcycle Snatcher Meets Waterloo In Bori
A suspected specialist in snatching of motorbikes met his waterloo last week Saturday, in Bori, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State following exchange of gunfire between the Police and his gang.
An eyewitness disclosed to our correspondent that the three man armed robbery gang pretending to be passengers boarded a motorcycle in Bori and on getting to BMGS area of the city pointed a gun at the driver, ordering him to surrender his motorcycle.
Our source further revealed that passersby and business owners who observed what was going on between the motorcycle operator and the suspected armed robbers put a call across to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) who arrived on record time.
The source said the armed robbers on sighting the Police opened fire and the Police responded by engaging them in a gun duel which resulted in the death of one of the armed robbers while two others escaped with bullet wounds.
Another resident who gave his name as Golden told our reporter that some persons in recent times have lost their motorcycles to armed gangs who always pretended to be passengers.
