Cleric Charges Christians To Let Their Lights Shine On Someone

A clergywoman at the Chapel of God International Worship Center, Forces Avenue in Port Harcourt, Pastor Princess Emmanuel has charged Christians to live their lives for the good of society.

Speaking at a Special Thanksgiving Service in honour of the O. B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation at the church on Saturday, July 9, 2022, Pastor Emmanuel said Christians, by their profession, are carriers of God’s light and should let the light shine in a dark world.

Members of the Foundation were in church for thanksgiving to God following a successful Free Medical Mission to Opobo Town, from Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1, 2022.

The cleric stated that the essence of creation is for man to be the solution to the problems of the world.

While extolling the sterling virtues of the O. B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation, Pastor Emmanuel described its Chairman, Dr. Mrs. Seinye Lulu-Briggs as a role model worthy of emulation.

She praised Mrs Lulu-Briggs who is the Senior Pastor of Chapel of God International Worship Center, for using her God-given resources for the benefit of the downtrodden in society.

Citting the book of Job 38: 15, the woman of God said that ‘light disturbs the wicked and stops the arm that is raised in violence’, adding that every good thing done by Christians is a disturbance to the wicked.

Pastor Emmanuel whose message was titled, “Discovering your eternal destiny”, said, “I want somebody to be challenged to go out there to be disturbing every darkness that is in your area, because that’s what we are created to do”.

In attendance at the Thanksgiving service were staffers of Moni Pulo Group, Lasien Company, Rachael Hotels and other companies owned by Dr. Mrs Lulu-Briggs.

Also present were traditional rulers, African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) and the Red Cross Society.

High point of the event was a moving testimony of a member of the Lulu-Briggs Foundation medical team, Princess Ahana.

She told about the hernia operation performed on an 8 months old boy.

According to her, the child was taken to the theater and the surgery was successful, and he was returned to the ward. However, some 30 minutes later, complications developed and he was taken back to the theater.

“We opened him up again and found out that his intestines have entered into where we repaired. We repaired again and took the child back to the ward.

“About one hour later while we went for Ward round, there was another problem and we had to open up the child for the third time”, she narrated, adding that God intervened after the third surgery and the boy became well and was discharged hale and hearty.
