Best TV Station Award: RATTAWU Congratulates RSTV

The South-South National Vice President of Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), Comrade Christian Saro Ganale has described the emergence of Rivers State Television (RSTV) as the Best Television station in the South-South zone of Nigeria as a fact of the reality.

Comrade Christian Saro Ganale in his congratulatory message on behalf of the Zonal Leadership of the South-South zone of RATTAWU to the management and staff of RSTV, said the station was long overdue for such an award of Excellence considering the wider coverage and programme contents of the grassroots television station across the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

The South-South RATTAWU boss who was a two-time Rivers State Chairman of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) said the programmes of RSTV outside its core mandate of informing, educating and entertaining her viewers, also teaches, mould characters and instills moral values in the young citizenry.

The RATTATU Leader in the South-South zone however called on other broadcast stations in the zone and beyond to emulate the sterling quality of RSTV.

Comrade Ganale thanked the organisers of the National Media Awards for their vision and sense of judgment in the choice of putting a round peg in a round hole, promising that RATTAWU as a Trade Union’  in the media sector stands as a watch dog and supportive to their progressive duty.
