Chief Magistrate Court 15 presided over by Rita Oguguo has remanded Chima Amadi aged 40 years and and his Orluchi Chima aged 22 years to Port Harcourt Correctional Centre over attempt to murder and grievous harm on Leticia Chima aged 40 years at Omerelu, Ikwerre Local Government Area on August 15, 2022.
The State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) had brought the case to court in form of remand proceeding last Monday.
No plea was taken as no charge(s) was read to the accused persons.
Chief Magistrate Oguguo adjourned to September 23,2022 for possible arraignment of the defendants on the charges the court has jurisdiction on.
The suspects were arrested by Elele Police Division in IKwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State on August 15,2022 and later transferred to State CIID, Port Harcourt.
Although Mr Chima Amadi has maintained that Orluchi Chima, is his second wife not his female lover as being speculated.
