…Declares Intention To Contest  2023 Governorship Election In Rivers

Chief Dumo Lulu- Briggs has declared his intention to contest for the 2023 Governorship election in Rivers State. Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs made the disclosure to journalists on arrival at Port Harcourt International Airport on Friday morning.

The Kalabari born politician in his words said “I will run, I am still very strong, I have to give my best at all times.

“If Dumo Lulu Briggs is running, everybody is certain that there will be inclusiveness, we will have a state where Governor Wike and Amaechi can dine together, that is the kind of environment we are going to have”, he said.

The Accord Party Governorship candidate in 2019 general election disclosed that he aspires for a state where there will be massive development, where there is food on the table for all and sundry and a state beyond oil.

On the argument of zoning the office of the President to the South, the Forbes magazine oil and gas man of 2021 explained that he has been an advocate of National cohesion and believes that the office of the President should be zoned to the south after the north has ruled for eight years.

He stated that he thinks it is time for the Riverine in Rivers State to have a shot at the Governorship seat for purpose of fairness, equity and for them to have a sense of belonging.

The oil and gas mogul also revealed that Governor Wike is his friend and believes Governor Wike will want him to contest.

Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs said “Wike knows my capacity and knows that if I am the Governor of the state, he is rest assured that there will be unity, there will be development and everybody will be carried along”.
