PHCCIMA Set To Organize 16th  Port Harcourt Int’l  Trade Fair

All is now set for the 16th Port Harcourt International Trade Fair, scheduled to take place at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, from 6th – 20th of December, 2022. Organized by Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines  and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) , this year’s version of the annual event holds out a lot of promises  and prospects for participants.

Briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt on Tuesday,  the President of PHCCIMA, Eze Sir Mike Elechi said this year’s trade fair is going to be bigger and better with both foreign and local entrepreneurs fully participating.

The theme for this year’s edition is “Preparing Small and Medium Scale Businesses to Maximize Trade Opportunities.” He advised the media to always be proactive in performing their duties, noting that those who want to come to do business in the State are just skeptical about it due to the wrong impression given by the media to the outside world.

The PHCCIMA President also urged the media and residents of the State to stop demarketing Rivers State because the state is peaceful, stressing that the average Riversman is peaceful.

Eze Sir Elechi gave kudos to the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike for ending the years of galloping crime. “We should always endeavour to tell the truth as effective as possible and let the world know the good things happening in Rivers State,” he enthused.

Eze Sir Elechi charged the media to use the infrastructural revolution by Governor Nyesom Wike to showcase the positive aspects of the state to the world so as to attract foreign investors and further lead to revenue generation.

Trade fair in Port Harcourt, he said, is not about the Chamber of Commerce but Rivers State in general and urged the media to do what the Western press has done in time past by bringing back the glory of the Garden City.

Dr. Maraizu Uche in his speech added that this year’s trade fair would simply be the best because it will be done at a bigger venue that has a lot of facilities in terms of security, access and visibility, promising exhibitors a comfortable and secure atmosphere.
