Andoni Stakeholders Plan To Celebrate Council Chairman
Stakeholders of Andoni extraction in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State under the aegis of Andoni United Front (AUF) are mobilizing and consulting other opinion leaders to celebrate the council chairman, Chief (Barr) Erastus Awortu (JP) in appreciation of what they described as his excellent performance since he was elected into the exalted seat over a year ago.
Speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt over the weekend in course of its meeting, the President General of the group, Mr. Hebron Confidence (KOB) said the council area would remain grateful to their illustrious son whom he said came at the right time to restore peace in the once volatile area through his magic wand.
According to him, “the entire Andoni Kingdom would remain eternally indebted and grateful to Chief Awortu for his commitment and focus on the development of his people”.
Mr. Hebron said the council area was actually on fire when Barrister Awortu assumed duty over a year ago but that it was immediately put out through his own special intervention method.
The PG who expressed his people’s gratitude and appreciation to the council Chairman over his developmental strides said his election was indeed a prayer answered for the Andoni people whom he noted were crying day and night over the insecurity that was ravaging the area.
The Andoni United Front (AUF) disclosed further that the group is equally consulting all the major stakeholders of the area to pay a “thank you” visit to the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for choosing and supporting the candidacy of Chief (Barr) Erastus Awortu whom they say is a gift to them before the end of his tenure.

The President-General of the group, Mr. Hebron Confidence also used the opportunity to thank the council chairman, Chief (Barr) Awortu for the appointment of Hon. Dimiary Franklin as the Council Secretary describing him as a square peg in a square hole and advised the secretary to remain the pillar he is to the Awortu administration in the overall interest of the Andoni people, assuring them of the support of the group and the people at all times.
In his own contribution, one of the stakeholders of the area and President of Unyeada Kingdom Assembly Worldwide, thanked the various communities of Andoni Kingdom that had deemed it fit to award chieftaincy titles on the council chairman in appreciation of his visionary leadership and advised other communities to follow suit and appreciate this illustrious son of theirs as further motivation to him and other illustrious sons and daughters of the area.
