The member representing Adoni – Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante who received the flag of authority over the weekend to further represent his people in the National Assemble has expressed satisfaction over the large turnout at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium during the official unveiling of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate.
He said the event on that day shows a strong signal that Rivers people are happy with the leadership of PDP and that he is convinced beyond any doubt that the 2023 election would be a victory walk for the PDP and for the benefit of all Rivers people.
Hon. Abiante said that the overwhelming support for Sir Sim Fubara is a confirmation of the high approval rating of Governor Nyesom Wike administration.
He urged all members and the entire Rivers people to be firm and focused, saying the only way to reward Governor Nyesom Wike is to stand by him and work with him all through to support all the PDP candidates.
“We must stand by our governor who has transformed the entire State. And I’m very optimistic that the incoming governor, Sir Sim Fubara who has worked closely with this administration, understands that coordination in the delivery of infrastructure is the sure way to open up the economy,” he declared.
According to him, the emergence of Sir Sim Fubara is a divine answer to the cries of those of them from the Ijaw ethnic nationality to have a governor of Ijaw extraction and promised to work with him to enable him succeed.
Hon Abiante thanked Governor Nyesom Wike, PDP stakeholders and the entire people of Andoni – Opobo/Nkoro Constituency for giving him another opportunity to serve them and promised never to let them down.
The federal lawmaker lauded Gov Nyesom Wike for being a source of inspiration and courage for most of them occupying political offices.
Hon Abiante is also happy that his boldness to speak on behalf of his people has begun to draw major attention to his constituency. He cited the sight of the Nigerian school of Oceanography and Marine Research in his constituency and the approval for the campus of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology in his area as some of these benefits.
