Why Peter Obi Should Be Next President Of Nigeria – Support Group Chairman
Reasons have been adduced why the former Anambra state governor, Mr Peter Obi should be given a chance to rescue the country.
Fielding questions from newsmen in Port Harcourt , the Rivers state capital over the weekend, the national/international chairman of Peter Obi presidential support group POPSG, Rev (Amb.) Felix Obazee said his principal has the revolutionised the entire nation and beyond with his brand of politics that has endeared him to Nigerians who are indeed tired of the old order of politics and politiking in the country.
Besides, he pointed out,Mr Peter Obi is an intelligent and prudent man who has been tested and trusted to rescue the country”.
On how the Labour party plans to mobilize Nigerians for their votes since they don’t give out money, the chairman clarified that they the supporters or Obidients voluntarily spend their money on their campaign logistics and don’t believe in bribing the electorate or vote buying but logically convince the electorate on the genuinty of their principal to honestly tackle the challenges bewitching the country in the interest of all.
In reference to those mocking the Labour Party of not having “structures”, Ambassador Obazee said the jubilant supporters who envisage a better Nigeria are the structures needed to win election.
On the way and manner the party intend to handle the RSG Executive Orders to reach out to the electorates, the chairman said they have long deviced a door-to-door system of campaign, adding that Mr Peter Obi from all indication is set to become the next president of Nigeria as according to him “God’s hand is in the Nigerian project, adding that both APC and PDP Will be shown the way out in the next year’s general election.
He disclosed further that Nigerians have long been yearning for an honest , focused leader like Mr Peter Obi with the country’s interest at heart, explaining the reasons for the wide acceptability of the labour party presidential candidate both here and in the Diaspora, stressing that what is lacking in Nigeria is just leadership challenges
“Once a visionary leadership is enthroned by next year, all other sectors will fall in line and Nigeria Will be on the move again”, he said.
On whether the election will be free, fair and transparent, without any form of rigging, Rev. Obazee said a lot of things have been put in place to checkmate rigging of any sort. He disclosed that the electoral Act will make it possible for votes to be transmitted electronically.
The POPSG chairman stated that with the electronic transmission of election results and the introduction of the Biometric Voters Accredited System (BVAS), rigging of election will be minimized if not eradicated.
He explained that the only area that might not be guaranteed is from the INEC themselves through their refusal to issue out PVCs. He however also reasoned that even at that, it might be difficult for one to use another’s person’s card.
The Support group chairman made it clear that the 2023 general election is not going to be business as usual which he pointed out will give room for honest and competent leaders to emerge divinely.
