Christians Advised On Thanksgiving, Faithfulness

…As ESOC Church Commissions Projects

Christians have been advised to cultivate the habit of thanksgiving to God at all times, as well as being faithful to Him in order to obtain His blessings.

Senior Apostle Allwell Obedaya gave this advice during his sermon over the weekend as a Guest Preacher at the thanksgiving service of the Diobu District of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS) Church.

Elder Obedaya equally preached on the need for Christians to be faithful to God and gave characteristics of faithfulness to God to include loyalty to the authorities; trustworthiness and obedience to God’s ordinances.

He cited Father Abraham as a case study in the Holy book who through obedience got God’s abundant blessing.

He equally talked about the need for children of God to support God’s work and His servants in any way possible, to attract more of His blessings.

In his testimonies, on behalf of the church, the District Chairman, Supervising Apostle Gabriel Agbaere said God had been very faithful to the members especially on their spiritual needs. He assured the followers of doing everything within his reach to upgrade the district through collective responsibility, adding that nothing done for God goes unrewarded.

Highlights of the thanksgiving service was awards of honour to deserving members to appreciate and encourage them including Apostle Adeyinka Adetosoye; Senior Mother Florence Otuonye; Senior Apostle Abariowua Ekine; Evang. Gerald Orisakwe; Pst. Chinonso Okwara and Army of Salvation Goodluck Tobin.

Other highlights were the commissioning of the projects executed by the district which includes the female vestry extension and erection of the Army of Salvation flagship platform by the Diobu Provincial Chairman, Senior Apostle Matthew Owhondah ably assisted by other senior elders of the church.
