The Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, has received one of the highest honours in Rivers State. Onuchuku was amongst notable personalities who were presented with the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State, DSSRS, by the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
The renowned Economist received the DSSRS Award, on Saturday night (December 3rd) during the State Honours and Awards ceremony which held at the Banquet Hall, Government House in Port Harcourt, the State capital.
Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN; Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, and his Kogi State counterpart, Yahaya Bello, former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, Chief Emi Membere Otaji, and Players and officials of 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League Champions, Rivers United football club of Port Harcourt, were part of the awardees.
