Democratic Dividends: Banigo Expresses Gratitude To God
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for giving the Governor Wike-led Administration the grace to provide dividends of democracy to the Rivers People.
Dr. Banigo stated this while playing host to the Forum of Concerned Patriots and People of Okarki led by Dr. Basoene James, at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday, 30th January 2023.
Dr. Banigo said God in His wisdom had brought them to this position, adding that He would enable them to do more.
“We have been called by God for this position, the Kingdom Mandate and mantra have to do with justice and righteousness. It has to do with peace, it has to do with joy. He wants to restore the joy back to our lands, to the senatorial west and to Nigeria and so He has called us to go into that federal position, it is for His service”. Dr. Banigo further stressed.
The Deputy Governor said that in her position in the Senate, she would be the voice that God wants her to be, and would draw those resources needed to develop our lands and people, stressing that Human Capital Development is very important.
“Our youths must be properly educated, they must have skills so they can be self-reliant, and be gainfully employed. I have had to work with youths for a long time, so I know what it takes to empower them to fulfil destiny, we do not want our youths to fall off by the wayside, we know that our women have capacity so we want it to continue, women should be encouraged with political and other appointments, so they exhibit the beautiful talent’s that God has given them to serve humanity”.
According to the Deputy Governor, she was going to the Red Chambers of the National Assembly to use the instrumentality of legislation to make sure that all incessant environmental pollution and flooding can be negated, noting that our people in the coastal areas would enjoy the land that God has given to us.
She thanked them for their support to Governor Wike and the PDP and urged them to vote for candidates of the party at the Gubernatorial, National and State Assembly in the Upcoming Polls.
In his address, the Secretary of the Forum of Concerned Patriots and People of Okarki Deacon Apapa D. Apapa expressed gratitude to Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who has demonstrated good leadership and demystified governance to show, that with a determined political will a lot can be achieved.
He assured the Deputy Governor that the Okarki People who are part of Rivers West Senatorial District would give her all the necessary support in her quest to seat in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly.
In their solidarity messages the Women Leader of PDP Rivers West Senatorial District Hon. Josephine Ubah and Deaconess Ngozi Bennibor assured the Deputy Governor that they would campaign from door to door to enable her to actualize her dream of winning the Senate slot.
